Reaper's Crossing

Jason is trapped in the Underworld! Play as the crow reaper Virgil as you help protect Jason from the inhabitants of the Underworld - aid him to safety and collect drachma coins to pay the Ferryman to escape!

Description:

Reaper's Crossing is a single player platformer with puzzle elements. Your main objective is to guide Jason to collect coins and help him escape the Underworld while avoiding ghosts. 

This was my first year Games Development project for the CMP105 Games Programming module 2019!

Gameplay:

- Currently having issues with full screen so currently advised not viewing the game in full screen -

Play as Virgil, the crow reaper to control the movement and actions of Jason who is a human.

-Jason will follow Virgil as the player holds down the left mouse click, he will also jump when spacebar is clicked and hide from ghosts when right click is pressed.

- Virgil can change from crow to reaper form to vanquish ghosts.

-Drachma Coin collection: players must collect all four drachma coins to present to the Ferryman at the end.

Controls:

Game is best played using a mouse

Virgil

• - [Trackpad/ Mouse cursor] -> In Crow form, guides Virgil’s movement and direction he is facing.
• -[Directional Arrows] -> Moving left and right (Virgil human form only)
• -[S]-> To change forms
  -[R] -> To reap (Virgil human form only)
  

Jason

• -[Left Click] -> To follow Virgil’s crow form. Further away Virgil is, the faster Jason will run.
  -[Right  Click] -> To hide/ guard from ghosts.
• -[SPACE] -> To jump

Misc

• -[Enter] -> Cheats (For invincibility)
  -[ESC] -> To quit
  -[Z] -> Pause

Also: When Virgil is in human form, this can leave Jason vulnerable if Virgil is distant as he will not follow him in this state.
